Yes. I’ve had experience with both. Not uncommon with kids who later meet someone who mimics a parent.
I’m not ignoring data. I’m observing that we should be seeing something that we aren’t. Specifically about the old age claim.
I could be mistaken, and if not, there could be many reasons to explain it. For instance, many could have alienated so many people by old age that no one is left to observe the remission. Etc.
@photo_matt@aimeeterese I have personal experience with BPD. In men, few disorders are more dangerous.
I know that’s what the data says. But typically, strong patterns are borne out in personal stories. I’m saying I’ve not seen overwhelming *anecdotal* evidence backing up the data-driven claim.
@photo_matt@aimeeterese I’ve heard this quite often but never seen someone confirm it anecdotally. The most I’ve seen is a logical understanding of the pattern that provides perspective, along with a vague claim that BPD often mellows with age.
Never seen a stable, elderly, former BPD.
@warthog652067@macroschema I’m a white American male who specialized in killing South Asians for about 10 years.
I slept at the US embassy there.
You both bleed the same. They fight better.
