Destroying confidence in the electoral system and other pillars of democracy (media, courts) is their goal, it’s not just pathetic whining. Then they use that lack of confidence to push strongman powers, restrictive voter suppression laws, and other crackdowns.
@RealConservBear@EdWhelanEPPC It wouldn't matter. MAGA will still accuse of them fraud even if they 'fix' the counting.
Georgia and Pennsylvania had their votes counted fairly quickly in 2020 and still receive baseless fraud allegations *to this day.* You can't appease MAGA.
Republicans will never accept a nationwide election loss again.
Doesn’t matter if you get rid of mail voting, doesn’t matter if everyone has ID. The goalposts will always move.
They have Pavlov’d themselves into believing they cannot lose a fair election.
@Vr0shhh@KhalDraco4@jasehoops@NBAAllDefense Teams dont need to be perfect, they simply need to be better than other teams. There isn't a salary cap for coaches and the FO.
I just hate this idea that the only way for teams to get good is to tank to the bottom for multiple seasons. Only 2 of the last 7 champions did that!
@KhalDraco4@jasehoops@NBAAllDefense The 3rd way is to be elite at drafting, trades, and talent evaluation. Nuggets, Bucks, Raptors all won titles this way.
@Lolxoxo6517@Mapping_Buckeye@BeshearStan America is a republic of states, not "rural areas and urban areas."
Rural voters in blue states being subject to urban voters is no different than the urban voters in red states that are subject to rural voters.
@313Gritty@TheDunkCentral@LevAkabas But a lot of those players were acquired through savvy trades, not tanking. like the Cavs and Nuggets. You dont need to tank to be good.
@ccfc21@gvhos@SixersAdam Sure, but the Kings were also bad for the last 15 years even before the lottery changes, so I dont buy that this makes them "bad forever". They were already bad forever bc of bad management and ownership.
@dforan5@hollywood26_@DerekBodnerNBA You don't need free agents to build contenders. Raps, Bucks, Nugs built championship teams without any top picks or major FA signings.
@hollywood26_@DerekBodnerNBA People are weirdly adamant that top 3 picks are the only for contenders to be built. Does it help? Yes. Is it required? No. Well run organizations today continue to build contenders even without those picks. Nugs, Cavs, Bucks, Knicks, etc.
@DerekBodnerNBA@hollywood26_ I disagree with the idea that top 3 picks are the 'only' way for bad teams to get stars.
If you look at recent champions, there are plenty that did so without a top 3 pick contributing - Raptors, Bucks, Nuggets, Warriors, hell even 2/3 of OKC's best players are late lotto picks
