As much as I hate to interrupt the personal zen that is your daily angry Facebook rant at Chick-fil-A for the wokeification of their nuggets, I have something I’d like to share with you.

You see, you keep talking about Joe Biden’s family being ‘corrupt’, and here’s the thing about that:
Hunter Biden didn’t make $640 Million while working in the White House.
Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner did.
Hunter Biden didn’t have his dad fast track 16 Chinese patents in two months for him.
Ivanka Trump did.
Hunter Biden didn’t get special national security clearance despite deep concerns of possible foreign influence.
Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner did.
Hunter Biden didn’t get a $2 Billion paycheck from a country he only months before had negotiated official American foreign policy with.
Jared Kushner did.
Sitting President Joe Biden doesn’t have a Chinese bank account.
But sitting “President” Donald Trump sure did.

So, you see… all those “impeachable offenses” you baselessly accuse the Biden family of committing — yeah well, funny thing is, they were actually committed… by the Trumps.
Now I know you won’t believe any of this because facts are about as useful to you as a second pair of underwear and a passport, but it doesn’t make them any less true.

Four thoughts this morning from the political wilderness:

1) Yes, our political system is broken. Really broken. Been fucked up & broken for awhile. Broken before Trump came along. In fact, Trump is just a horrible, ugly, dangerous consequence of a broken political system.

2. Yes, our broken political system needs reform. Major fucking reform. We need a viable 3rd party & a viable 4th party. We need to open up our primary system. We need to change the way people vote. We need term limits. We need to get rid of the electoral college. We need to do a lot of things.

3) BUT NOT RIGHT NOW. Right now, our ONLY job is to defeat Trump & Trumpism, which means defeat this Republican Party. Trump & Trumpism are immediate & real threats to our democracy. I come from the Trumpist/GOP base. I escaped that base. Trump/Trumpism has given up on democracy. They really have. They’re afraid of democracy which is why they’re trying to end it. My former party has become an authoritarian-embracing cult. They worship Putin, Orban & other strongmen, and they want a Trump or a DeSantis to be the same kind of strongman/dictator here. They’ve abandoned truth and they want their dictator to destroy their political enemies. This is what my former political party has become. DEFEATING THEM and SAVING OUR DEMOCRACY must be our only priority RIGHT NOW. Do this, and then we can reform our broken political system. So for right now, we’re all on team Democrat because Democrats are the ONLY way to defeat Republicans. And I say that as someone who’s not a Democrat. But I am right now.

4) Save our democracy now, reform our democracy later.

They aren’t saying trump didn’t do it. They’re not saying he was right to do it. They’re not defending his actions in any way.
They’re attacking Biden.
Attacking Garland.
Attacking the WIFE of Jack Smith.

They’re gaslighting.
They’re obfuscating.
And they’re distracting.
Because they simply cannot defend the indefensible.

From Louisiana to Florida, women are carrying fetuses to bury them. Couples are being sent home to carry nonviable fetuses. This is more than cruel, it’s torture. We must fight to protect women’s rights!

Dear Republicans,
If you don’t like a trans woman being featured on a can of Bud Light, don’t drink Bud Light.
If an M&M in sneakers offends you, don’t eat M&Ms. If Cracker Jill hurts your feelings, don’t eat that stuff either.
If you don’t like the fact that Target sells LGBTQ+ merchandise, don’t shop there.
And if Amanda Gorman’s famous poem, “The Hill We Climb” upsets you, then don’t read it.
The point is that no one is forcing you to do any of that shit. But YOU don’t get to decide if the rest of us can.
