Yesterday, the Salt Lake County Council unanimously approved $26
million in Zoo, Arts & Parks (ZAP) funding to be distributed to 233 arts, cultural, and zoological nonprofits in 2024.
We are thrilled to support these organizations and all of the amazing work that they do!

This morning @slcmayor Mendenhall, @slcCouncil, and leaders and representatives from Indigenous and Native American communities celebrated the beginning of Native American Heritage Month.
Drum roll please... Tier II Grantees have been approved by County Council!
Yesterday, the Council voted to approve the recommendations made by our ZAP Tier II Advisory Board.
187 Grants were awarded with $2.7 Million in funding!

Before the bridge to Backman Elementary was built, little ones walked beside a busy road to get to and from school. Today we celebrated this bridge, which began as an idea from the community and is now a tangible infrastructure project that safely ushers kids in their community.
