For those who don’t understand the devastation Somalia regime inflicted on Somaliland, this is one part of Hargeisa, its capital. A city reduced to ruins, yet rebuilt by a resilient people. These scars are a reminder of what Somaliland endured and overcame. #US#Africa#News

The Somaliland Diaspora Council has recognised the group’s contribution and thanked the parties for their support. The initiative highlights the growing role of volunteer-led efforts in Burco, Somaliland’s second-largest city. @burcovolunteers
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the political parties of Somaliland for their invaluable advice, commitment, and steadfast support.
@burcovolunteers have demonstrated that young people can unite and take action to benefit their city. As a member of Burco Volunteers, I am truly grateful that both @XISBIGAKULMIYE and WADANI PARTY (@HersiAHassan) have embraced us, offering their guidance and trust. I hope they continue to advocate for our YOUTH CENTRE proposal and help us build a national movement- one that begins in BURCO but spreads across all of #Somaliland.
Volunteerism, as we have shown, must become woven into the fabric of our society. Thank you to the leaders of #Wadani and #Kulmiye, and we also look forward to engaging with the #Kaah party soon. In the meantime, we deeply appreciate their willingness to listen, and we eagerly anticipate working together to create lasting positive change.

The Somaliland Diaspora Council’s official statement on the e-visa crisis. We strongly condemn the unjust restrictions imposed, and we demand full accountability and immediate action to resolve the crisis.
This is a serious issue, and it needs to be addressed urgently. The Somaliland Government should be clear about what it is doing to resolve the e-visa crisis and listen to the concerns being raised by the diaspora. We need answers, transparency, and action not silence.
The Somaliland Diaspora Council’s statement is now officially supported by the @XISBIGAKULMIYE , which released its own statement . This is a historic moment: the first real consensus for a unified movement in Somaliland. The past year has been filled with hardship, and now is the time for all of us, including , KAAH and the ruling Waddani, to take a stand. If we do not openly oppose the e-visa, the world will not see Somaliland as distinct. In fact, we risk full capitulation to Mogadishu. We must create a movement, and even in the U.S., there’s a growing group advising the American president on this issue. #Notoevisa
The KULMIYE Party strongly supports the @sldcglobalorg.
We express our deep concern over Somalia’s E-Visa regime, which creates serious challenges for Somaliland’s diaspora and travelers. this poses a serious threat to the sovereignty & statehood of the Republic of Somaliland. 👇
