Woman Found Dead, Friend Admits Slapping & Choking Her Before "Suicide", Police Suspect Possible Murder

📍Pathanamthitta, Kerala

A 31-year-old muslim woman, Shehna, who was living separately from her husband and had a daughter, was found hanging inside her home in Adoor.

Neighbors heard shouting from the house and alerted others. When the door was opened, Shehna was found hanging while her male friend, Arun, was still inside. Bloodstains was reportedly found on Arun, as well as on the floor and staircase. He was taken into police custody.

During questioning, Arun admitted they had argued and that he slapped her and grabbed her by the neck before claiming she died by suicide.

Police have not accepted his version and say the post-mortem and investigation will determine whether it was suicide or murder.
