Advice from His Excellency the President of Religious Affairs, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, to the Muslim Ummah on the Occasion of Eid al-Fitr

“Fasting six days of Shawwal”
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he has fasted the whole year.”

Continue doing righteous deeds with consistency, for the true believer’s work does not end with Ramadan. Allah Almighty says:
“And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (i.e., death).”
[Surah Al-Hijr: 99]

Be kind, show mercy, maintain ties, and spread joy — celebrate Eid with happiness, seeking nearness to your Lord through what pleases Him.

As for the Takbeer (proclamation of greatness of Allah):
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illa Allah,
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil hamd.
(Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is no deity but Allah.
Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and to Allah belongs all praise.)
