Shortly after the Supreme Court refused to hear Trump's appeal of the civil case verdict that Carroll won in 2023, his legal team reached out to hers and asked if the payment could be delayed as they try to get the court to reconsider its rejection of their appeal.

In other words, Trump lost and then begged for time to scheme his way to a victory. Carroll's lawyers promptly and bluntly refused.

Consider the gall here. Not only did Trump sexually assault this women, he then went on to defame her publicly and frequently, and fought the case all the way to the Supreme Court. Then, when he was unable to get his desired result, he reduced himself to begging, as if this entire saga was simply a matter of cordial disagreement instead of deeply contentious and laced with cruelty.

At the same time that he was pleading with her to hold off on collection, he was posting on Truth Social that he "never met" her, that the defamation claim is "ridiculous," and that he's battling "injustice."

In their court filing, Carroll's attorneys Roberta Kaplan, D. Brandon Trice, and Maximilian T. Crema stated that there is simply no reason for further payment delay — especially since the justices, including the conservatives, unanimously agreed not to hear the case.

“To date, Carroll has agreed to each of defendant’s many requests to delay the payment he owes her. Given the extraordinary lengths he has taken to avoid such payments and that each of those efforts has been denied in full, that cooperation ends today. It is time for him to pay Carroll,” the lawyers wrote.

The roughly $5.8 million sum ticked up to its current amount thanks to interest accrued as Trump dragged his feet and sought relief through the court system. Originally, a jury found him liable for sexual abuse and then defamation damages were added on top. Trump is currently appealing a separate $83 million defamation verdict that Carroll won in 2024.

Carroll's attorneys referred to this current juncture as "the end of the line” and stated that it's “time for him to pay Carroll.”

Trump must immediately surrender the money to Carroll and then she has to remain eagle-eyed. If he defames her again, she should hit him with an even bigger lawsuit!

Before a single comedian took the stage at the Kennedy Center, the building had already told the best joke of the evening. A tarp still hung over the spot where Trump's name had briefly been added and then taken down by court order, and it stayed up through the whole ceremony honoring a man Trump has spent years trying to discredit.

Woody Harrelson got there early, calling it ironic that they were honoring Maher at the Trump Kennedy Center, then catching himself: no, we fixed that. Whitney Cummings imagined what Trump's taste would do to the fall lineup, joked about a season of white Hamilton, and told the crowd she'd been instructed to cut a line about Trump missing the ceremony because he was stuck in sex traffic.

The deeper joke is structural. Trump spent over a year taking over the board, redirecting programming, and trying to rename and close the building outright, and a federal judge has already blocked parts of it. He built himself into the institution's story so thoroughly that even his absence from a comedy award show became the headline act.

🚨Meet Dr. Jason White — a Lubbock, TX dentist and child m*lester who made his Trump support his entire personality and is now rotting in a Florida federal prison for his horrific crimes.

White took a plea deal in September 2021, admitting he s*xually abused multiple underage boys over several years and produced child s*xual abuse material of his victims. A federal judge sentenced him to 30 years.

Being a privileged MAGA cultist, White appealed his sentence to the U.S. Court of Appeals, arguing that federal regulation of his crimes was unconstitutional under the Commerce Clause. His own attorneys conceded that “the current state of the law does not unambiguously support” his position. The Court — and denied the appeal.

Of course he used right-libertarian philosophy to try to get away with abusing kids.

Oh, and while White was awaiting trial, a civil lawsuit alleged that his boyfriend and sister scrambled to shield his oil, gas, and real estate assets from his victims by forming a shell company — JRBT Holdings, LLC — just four days after his arrest. Attorneys argued the entity was created “for the sole purpose of shielding White’s valuable Assets from the claims of creditors” — i.e., the children he abused.

These people never seize to find new lows. Typical that he has Christian iconography in his profile.
