@CP24 The headline of this article should be about the Ontario government releasing this massive new curriculum at the end of the school year…while teachers are still working without a contract. The union better earn their pay and push back on implementing this in September.
@HealthierLonger@CTVToronto It says at the end of the article that it is only free to replace them within five years of getting the plates. After that, you have to pay $59.

@FourWinns298 And just a note - I take COVID seriously. Still masking wherever I go, and testing when there are symptoms. But I would imagine some colds are actually just colds at this point and not everything is COVID, right?
@FourWinns298 My daughter has had a cold for almost 2 weeks. We have tested a bunch of times for COVID - all negative. Plus she has had COVID before and said it doesn’t “feel” like COVID. Couldn’t some of these colds actually be colds?
@Sflecce@fordnation@MonteMcNaughton@PBethlenfalvy So…students can leave high school in grade 11 to go into a full-time apprenticeship, and then when they are done their apprenticeship, they can apply for an OSSD? So students are getting an OSSD after completing grades 9 and 10? Wtf? Someone please correct me if needed!
@breakfasttv@devobrown@DinaPugliese@Sid_Seixeiro@citytammie@FrankFerragine This is my plaza :(. I’m so disappointed that no one helped that poor woman once the carjackers were gone. I get not wanting to get involved when the actual carjacking was happening (those men were very dangerous and erratic). But the video continues and shows 1/
@JBradshaw01 I think it’s the only way this mode of learning can survive. Even if some boards amalgamated their virtual schools (ie all GTHA boards, all Northern boards, etc), that would be more helpful than what we have currently.
@JBradshaw01 They need one centralized Ontario virtual school if they plan on keeping this life of delivery. Each board running their own virtual school with low enrolment and sparse course selection isn’t helping any of the students who really want this is an option.
@breakfasttv Thankfully no. My husband had a microdiscectomy (for a herniated disc) without a delay to his original surgery date at Trillium Hospital. He saw the neurologist in July and had his surgery in September.
@Captaincoby00 I should leave it up until Epiphany, but I get a massive urge to tear everything down as soon as possible once Christmas is done. I’m hosting my family today for dinner, but things will start coming down tomorrow.
@LevitanLisa@JBradshaw01 Again, it’s either before or after the break. My students felt like it was better for them to write it before the break…now they have less stress during the break because they are not coming back to a quiz. Their choice.
@TheTorontoSun Why is this a story?
If you must track politicians and vacation time, can you please do a story on Doug ford and how often he is on vacation at his cottage?
@ziibiing I don’t have a full binder, but anytime I see a new specialist, I send a summary file by email beforehand (and print to bring with me) with current/working diagnoses, summary of crucial health episodes, symptoms, medications, and current specialists. Most appreciate it.
