‼️🇺🇸💥The US Navy is preparing to decommission four Ohio class submarines, platforms that currently account for nearly half of the Navy’s underwater Tomahawk cruise missile launch capacity.

These submarines are expected to be replaced by the new multi purpose Virginia Block V class, designed to restore lost strike capability through advanced payload modules. However, this transition is projected to take close to a decade, leaving a significant capability gap in the interim.
The challenge becomes even more complex if the Virginia Block V submarines are fitted with hypersonic weapons, as this would further reduce the overall missile count due to size and space limitations.
