The hallucinations of LLMs are not a problem per se: human minds hallucinate too. If we remove the constraints of perceptual input, we spin off into dreams. If we don't verify our intuitive generations with reasoning, our thinking becomes delusional. Generative AI is incomplete.
I used to believe conspiracy nonsense. But now I see the actual truth, and it's far scarier: there's NO ONE behind the curtain. There is NO master plan. There are just a bunch of douchebag billionaires, each with their own sociopathic agenda, fighting for control of the helm.
Most interesting thing about the Lex Neuralink podcast is one of the guys describes that when the Neuralink subject moves a cursor on a screen, it actually moves before he expects it to, almost before he tries to move it
It's weird that we talk so much about a "loneliness epidemic" but we don't really talk to people about how to make friends or why they are not making friends.

What's behind the constant attacks on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)?
It's the "conservative moral hierarchy" as outlined in "Moral Politics" (1996) and subsequent books. Whenever there's a question about a right-wing policy or views, consult this list for the answer.
Midjourney is amazing, fun, kind of poetic sometimes. I poked it in just the right ways, and these came out. I feel conflicted about how much credit to take for creating such images, I didn't do much work, on the other hand they wouldn't exist if I hadn't done that #midjourney
