I had an inspiring meeting with Aliko Dangote, Founder and CEO of the Dangote Group, whose support for the West Africa Integration and Investment Summit (WAIIS) excites me.

Aliko's leadership in the new ECOWAS Business Council represents a significant milestone. I look forward to working with him and the Council to position WAIIS as a leading, sustainable, and private-sector-driven platform.

This morning at Newton, I was thrilled to commission the impressive 30 Megawatt Solar Power Plant paired with a 15-megawatt-hour Battery Energy System, along with a 10-megawatt Solar Plant for Lungi. The Regional Emergency Solar Power Intervention (RESPITE) project vividly demonstrates our strong commitment to creating a sustainable and reliable power future for generations to come.

I am deeply grateful to the World Bank for their invaluable support as we transform our energy sector and significantly expand energy access.

This afternoon in Pujehun, I was able to realize a dream that is very important to me. I officially opened the newly constructed bridge and paved road to Pujehun, marking an important milestone for our people.

Traveling to and from Pujehun is now easier and quicker.

Today at Black Johnson, I broke ground on the Julius Maada Bio Industrial Fishing Port, a groundbreaking infrastructure project supported by The People’s Republic of China.

With an estimated annual fish stock of 450,000 metric tons, this development will propel our blue economic potential forward. My gratitude to President Xi Jinping for his incredible support.

The two countries have enjoyed longstanding ties. The Mission recalls S/Leone’s role in the landmark Liberation of Kuwait. The Embassy hopes that the cordial relations between the two countries will further strengthen & deepen for the benefit of our two peoples & countries.

The Embassy of Sierra Leone in Kuwait has today officially welcomed the newly appointed Minister Counsellor/Head of Chancery, Mr. Moinena Massaquoi, as he commences his tour of duty. Mr. Massaquoi, replaced Mr. Momodu A. Wurie in 2025 after completing his tour of duty.

Today, on Ash Wednesday, we commence the solemn season of Lent. For Christians, Lent is a period to pray, fast, read the Bible, and reflect on God’s love. When we seek Him with humble hearts, we shall find Him.

The institutes offer a range of programs to equip students with practical skills and knowledge in Artificial Intelligence & robotics, graphics, & technology, mechanical engineering, renewable energy generation, designed to ensure that students are well-prepared for the workforce.

Sierra Leone’s Technical & Higher Education Minister, Dr. Haja Ramatulai Wurie and Bahrain’s Education Minister, Dr. Mohamed Bin Mubarak Juma shared a broad range of initiatives to foster partnership in education, particularly in technical & vocational education, & polytechnic.

Dr. Wurie also visited the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Institute of Technology and the Bahrain Polytechnic to get information on the country’s successful implementation of Technical and Vocational Education (TVE).
