I haven't posted in a while. I'm still working on stuff, helping people, making models, porting stuff, the usual. Looked into VR for a bit, might see if I can get some basic projects done. We'll see.
@GemMillennial @Dentolsfm I got the game specifically to get the model, and I haven't played past the tutorial. It's not super clear but the model's been ripped and brought into Blender so I can rig it.
Doesn't just have to be Blender content but I would encourage people to move on from SFM to take advantage of Blender 2.8 when it comes out. But for now I'll still help people with SFM content.
You know, I can't remember the last time I did a proper render of anything. I was talking to someone a while back about a Trooper character they made so I decided to spend a bit of time and piece together my own. Thought it'd be fun to make a set with her sometime.
I figure all these little side projects are just building up to when I eventually do something. But for now I think I'm happy doing these little things. If I opened commissions for custom outfits or props, would anyone be interested? Would be good to get stuff out there again.
Trying out some new stuff. Wanted to make some of Butch Hartman's characters in 3D but wasn't sure what to do about the faces. Here's my workaround for that problem.
Until today I had no idea this character existed or what game she was even from. After hunting around for the model and finding nothing but dead links and old posts, I realised "hey, I know how to model things". So behold, the fruits of my labour (except the body)
Something a little different today. Was checking out the Detroit: Become Human models and decided to try my hand at a skin shader with Blender's Eevee. I think it turned out alright, minus the eyes which still need a lot of work.
