Once his tires start smoking, the car completely stops turning and goes straight in whatever direction it's pointing. That's locking up the brakes - saying he can't listen to the spotter makes you sound like a dumbass.

@RkyMtnBETS I swear I don't think a single person in the comments understand how locking up the brakes works. It doesn't matter how many times the spotter tells him to stay low, once the brakes lock up he is stuck going in whatever direction he is pointed.
