Saturn avoids & detaches

This is a response to being hurt or offended, everyone can be hurt or offended.

People are sensitive, Saturn as an archetype is cold and dry and doesn’t let sensitivities dictate actions.

Pushing people away or detaching effectively removes the trigger that awakens “sensitivity”

Saturn is more concerned with self-preservation & logic, maintaining & improving systems, and this means sensitivities are seen as a distraction or are overwhelming for Saturn natives.

This doesn’t mean Saturn natives don’t have feelings, but their feelings are not used as a compass and this is what people are trying to get at when they accuse Saturnians of being void of emotion.

Of course Saturnians have feelings, everyone does, but the way they handle these feelings is not by expressing but rather by avoiding or detaching, and this translates in ways that come off cold & dry, similar to the planet itself.
