@indyhsscores F grade for you! Baseball Finals but focused on trivial summer hoops, college commits in v-ball/football &3 articles on 1Abaseball champ(sole local finalist) Lutheran. The Region swept 2A,3A,4A baseball titles(two from Valpo!) but you didn't even send a reporter to 3 title games?

@JP8185 On IHSAATV broadcast, they said Andrean roster has 5 pitchers who can throw 90mph. Not too bad for a school with 408 students. I don't know if LaPorte has had 5 pitchers touch 90 during the 65-year Schreiber-Upp era.

@SWI_Sports That was groundball in 1B/2B hole on 3-2 pitch. So the runner on 1st was really,really close to reaching 2nd base before 2B's throw was released. And when ball goes out of play,all runners get 1+1. I would like to see whole field replay--if he touched 2nd already,he scores too.

@JP8185 Good point. Why didn't the IHSAA send the 3A baseball Semistate to Lafayette or (even better) schedule Andrean in the 2A softball title game for Friday? Seems like the IHSAA made those accommodations for Center Grove softball playing on Friday night.

@JP8185 No choice for the IHSAA with the 2A site-- Oak Hill knocked out LCC(yippee!) so they get to play SS at home. With 2 "northern" schools each in 3A & 4A, it makes sense for them to go to LP & SB.

@stogsdill_phil @IHSAA1 @IHSBCA Not at all. I am stating that those school corp's invested in top-notch sports facilities &then offered to host. Fyi if the IHSAA selects them as a Reg or SS host, all those workers (incl coaches/players to manicure the field) give their time even if their school is not playing.

@stogsdill_phil @IHSAA1 @IHSBCA Every school who invests their money, sweat & effort to be selected as a Regional or Semistate host, they have also earned the right to play at home when they advance that far in the tourney. It's the same in every sport & always will be.

I hope you are joking about who will host the state title game. If that is a serious question, then you have never paid attention to IN high school baseball until now.

@NorthWoodBSB The IHSAA draw/Pairings Release (page 8) shows the Reg10-Reg11 winners as game 1, not game 2. So you might want to check with the IHSAA to confirm the game time. Wouldn't be the first time the IHSAA messed something up.

@GreggDoyelStar I know you're not a HS sports reporter & this is me being nit-picky. You called SBWashington "4A Region Champ in 2023". REGION??? There are 4 tourney levels here--Sectional, Regional, Semistate, State. You've been here 10+yrs but Kyle needs to teach Indiana HS Sports 101 to you.
