@NYSLabor Just got my letter for $600.... i low key wish i got over paid $1200 like some so i have the option of waiving that ๐ค. At least it was money in my pocket.
@NYSLabor Some of us got that one $600 payment back in april or may 2020 while they were processing our claims. Then few weeks after we got a lump sum. They want that $600 back, we all gonna have to file a waiver later this month cause lord knows we need every penny received and spent.
@KayKTang@NYSLabor If youโre compelled to return the over payment in full, thats the address to send the funds once you find out how much was overpaid.
@awQute@NYSLabor The $600 fed payment wasnt active till april, thats why it didnt account for that week in march. I believe we got 13 weeks of $600 so maybe double check. Either way, file a waiver cause its their mistake. Most likely you can file โhardshipโ and have it waived.
@simon10092089 @NYSLabor Yeah, well for me they sent $600 in May. But i got another $600 for May but paid in June for the retroactive. Sticks out like a sore thumb. I mean maybe it was different for you, regardless im filing the waiver.
@tho92618150@NYSLabor ๐ i thought the same but i know i didnt get overpaid. Then I remembered that $600, which i thought was correctly given while waiting for UI processing, especially the time frame they posted.
@MRowza@NYSLabor Nah... pretty sure we all getting approved waivers ๐. They messed up and sent it to us, plus paying back the $600 would bring some โhardshipโ to us. They need to cover themselves with the feds with these waivers.
@Menty24@NYSLabor Yeah, just wait and see what they said was overpaid, pretty sure its $600. If it was a mistake on their end or not just file the waiver. We got 30 days to do it after receiving letter.
