🚨💣 EXCLUSIVE: Real Madrid reach verbal agreement to sign Marc Cucurella from Chelsea, HERE WE GO!
Verbal agreement in place between all parties, player too — he’s the left back wanted by Mourinho. Details to follow.
Cucurella leaves #CFC and joins Madrid after World Cup. ⚪️🇪🇸
That raw, unfiltered joy Messi felt the moment it hit him that he had finally won the World Cup; he couldn’t even run to celebrate with Dibu. The happiness froze him in place and he fell to his knees. Had a lot of happy moments but i hope i get to experience something like that in this lifetime.
🇧🇷 | I think there’s a real misunderstanding of João Pedro’s situation for Brazil and Ancelotti’s reasoning for leaving him out of the squad.
Some important context to help explain the decision:
Between June 6, 2025 and April 1, 2026, Ancelotti tested SEVEN different No. 9s across nine matches:
• Matheus Cunha | 397 minutes
• Richarlison | 174 minutes
• João Pedro | 153 minutes
• Vitor Roque | 45 minutes
• Kaio Jorge | 19 minutes
• Igor Thiago | 19 minutes
• Igor Jesus | 10 minutes
A combined 817 minutes without a SINGLE GOAL from any of them. Brazil had a serious goalscoring problem.
Ancelotti used his multiple opportunities to work with these players up close in training camps, calling them into several squads:
• Matheus Cunha | 4 call-ups
• Richarlison | 4 call-ups
• João Pedro | 3 call-ups
• Kaio Jorge | 1 call-up
• Igor Jesus | 1 call-up
• Vitor Roque | 1 call-up
• Igor Thiago | 1 call-up
• Endrick | 1 call-up
Out of all the options, Matheus Cunha was the one striker who genuinely impressed Ancelotti. His work rate, pressing, energy, selflessness, and ability to balance the front four made him a key piece in the 4-2-4 system Brazil were using at the time. But they still lacked that killer instinct.
Then came Brazil’s final match before Ancelotti announced his World Cup squad: the game against Croatia.
With Brazil struggling, Igor Thiago (23 minutes) and Endrick (14 minutes) came off the bench and changed the game. Igor Thiago scored from the penalty spot, while Endrick won the penalty and provided an assist.
At the same time, João Pedro had another difficult game, a constant under Ancelotti. He struggled to make an impact, missed a big chance, and was eventually replaced by Igor Thiago himself.
That last 25 minutes proved decisive.
By the end of the Croatia game, João Pedro had played the second most minutes under Ancelotti as a no.9 (only behind Matheus Cunha), but had convinced him the least.
At the very last moment, Ancelotti changed his mind. The performances of Endrick and Igor Thiago against Croatia tipped the balance.
So between the 4 choices and 3 number 9’s he was going to take.
He left João Pedro at home.
“Before we go out, we would prepare. They’d mobilise 100 to 200 fighters, give them arms, and say, ‘We are going out to wage a holy war’. Then we would charge into military barracks,” he tells HumAngle curtly. “I believe we were deceived by our masters because they don’t practice what they preach and twist religious verses to suit their evil acts and intentions.”

🚨 🇪🇸 Marc Cucurella: “Yes I’m attracted to Xabi Alonso’s project. I’ve spoken with him and he inspired a lot of confidence in me. I’ve also spoken with Grimaldo and Borja, who have worked with him, and they spoke very highly of him. The project seems very interesting.” (MARCA)

How a Courageous Police Mission Returned 5,000 Displaced Residents to Fegin Kanawa in Zamfara
For months, Fegin Kanawa, a remote community in Zamfara State, stood deserted as residents fled relentless attacks and threats from armed bandits. The difficult terrain leading to the village, coupled with fears of landmines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), had turned the area into what many considered a no-go zone.
However, in a bold demonstration of leadership and commitment to public safety, the Commissioner of Police in Zamfara State, CP Ahmed Mohammed Bello, led a determined security mission to restore confidence in the area and facilitate the return of displaced residents to their ancestral homes.
Despite warnings about the dangers posed by the route and the security situation, the police leadership pressed ahead with the mission, convinced that lasting peace could only be achieved by restoring communities that had been emptied by violence.
The operation involved the deployment of substantial police personnel and security assets to Fegin Kanawa and surrounding areas to ensure the safety of returning residents. Security patrols were intensified, strategic positions were secured, and measures were put in place to prevent bandit incursions and reassure residents of their protection.
As confidence gradually returned, more than 5,000 displaced residents began moving back into the community after months of displacement.
The return was marked by emotional scenes as families reunited with their homes, farms and livelihoods. Residents were seen chanting praises and offering prayers for the police, expressing gratitude for what they described as a courageous intervention that restored hope to a community once abandoned by fear.
Many of the returnees commended CP Ahmed Mohammed Bello and the officers involved in the operation for personally venturing into a terrain widely regarded as dangerous in order to guarantee their safe return.
Community leaders described the development as a major milestone in ongoing efforts to restore normalcy in parts of Zamfara affected by banditry, noting that the sustained police presence had strengthened public confidence and encouraged displaced persons to rebuild their lives.
