Physical media is almost a Fahrenheit 451 (where people memorized entire books and thus became the book they loved) level of responsibility. If you own a great 4K HD, Blu-ray, DVD etc etc of a film or films you love... you are the custodian of those films for generations to come.
@lobster_squirt To make a career of degrading others and to highlight Polanski is weird - also the whole thing about him not really writing pulp fiction and claiming he did is kinda lame
@lobster_squirt In my opinion great filmmakers do steal, but typically can put a sense of ownership to the project. Not to say all of his movies are bad, but there is the thing in my favorite film of his, after shit talking every filmmaker alive, the hill he dies on is putting Polanski in OUATIH
@lobster_squirt For me primarily it is his degradation of filmmakers that do not see his definition of cinema as the end all, it’s a super expansive list. Secondarily his inability to credit others. Plus, every great filmmaker steals, but his stuff is copy and paste stealing without ownership.
