@djchloeharris Props to that kid! I still rock my system in my "old" truck. I love driving it mostly FOR the stereo-on-wheels. It plays mp3 cds, too.. lol.. so if i don't plug in my phone I'm listening to a ton of late 90's and early 2000's bootleg DJ sets I burned 15-20 years ago.

I've been prioritizing home remodeling, being a parent, being a partner, being a friend, and being awesome at my job that pays the bills.. but eventually the strain of 'not doing music' rears its ugly head and I have to move on that front.

Observations from the 2nd time I've cut out caffeine from my home life (coffee): I'm choosing to get things done.. things that would have sat or had been sitting around waiting for me to do them. Not big things, but small things. It's making such a positive impact on my brain.

@Ryan_Runs_ Watched some of this.. what a set! Loved seeing it come together. We ended up with a whale of a set this year as a gift from a family member. The Ideas Treehouse! I was thinking of a time lapse video for it.

This past year I've been focused on my day job career (that isn't music). As I look forward to the holidays, I can't wait to jump into my art. So many notes, ideas, loops created that lie in wait for me.

Holy hell it can be infuriating to live in 2022 and be dealing with the same computer/software problems that were present in 2010.. or even 2000. It's always something, and that's why so many folks are going/are interested in DAWless approaches to production and performance.

Wrote the 1st set of recording notes for my big 'desk & DAW' intro video. Also got a new piece of kit in that is going to be interesting to work with.. but Monday is in the bag, so recording this week. Time to chill w/my most important person in the galaxy.

So close.. so so close.. Being me, I decided to 'try something' and use ASIO4ALL to emulate Apple's "device aggregation" in Windows. Works great for audio but the MIDI clock from the TR8-S is weird. Gonna revert, then get the YT videos going. Everything else is ready. =)

Planning my own 'keep or go' party. It'll just be me, DJ mixes playing, and a bunch of boxes and bags for donate, sell, and give away. Selling shit makes me anxious so it's probably a bunch of donate and give away. >.<

It's time to let go of a bunch of sentimental keepsakes, media, and material objects. All I want is to make music, art, and do awesome shit w/my 'day career'. I don't have time for the old things anymore. A few will make the cut. Most will move on to new owners.

Oh, and my trouble with sharing my art and myself with others around me AND "on the internet". It used to be something that poured freely from my soul.. figuring out what happened there. Got some music queued up as a 'first step' toward my path forward.

Sorting through my social anxieties and misgivings developed over the past 10 years. Unravelling a huge amount of BS from various life threads. Seen some wonderful brain space lately that felt familiar yet renewed. Soaking in music lately. Learning to love life once more.
