btw what is the opposition doing dawg, tinubu’s closest people are going to the media every day to score own goals against his own presidency and they don’t seem to take advantage of that
guarantee his loss without reasonable doubt. it’s fair to say tinubu is daring you, he’s asking you to do your worst. clear his doubt, get your pvc and vote🫵🏽
two of the closest people to the president have made really provocative statements to the press within the past two days, statements which more or less reflect his mind and thoughts towards the average citizens, a year to elections. in saner climes those statements would
I Don’t See The Level Of Hunger Nigerians Are Complaining About — Onanuga
I have people working for me privately and i ask them questions about how they’re surviving and adjusting. This government has increased minimum wage by more than 100%.
Bayo Onanuga
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy
You cannot preach, practice, or justify neutrality when your country is literally on fire and collapsing under the weight of state failure.
If you aggressively insist that every single political candidate offered to you is not good enough, then have the courage to present yourself on the ballot, buy the form, and contest.
Form your own political party, recruit a dedicated media team, publish sharp weekly newsletters, draft your own comprehensive manifesto, and do the actual, grueling work of grassroots mobilization, ward-level organizing, and voter education for your party.
This is exactly what Omoyele Sowore is doing, and even though I do not personally, politically, or ideologically agree with him, his active struggle is still far better, more honorable, and infinitely more respectable than the actions of comfortable keyboard warriors who live in luxury, air-conditioned apartments in highly secure, gated communities just to tweet daily that they are too pure to vote for anyone.
I am deeply sorry, but sitting on the fence and playing the role of an intellectual critic is actually a luxury that absolutely nobody in Nigeria can afford at this terrifying moment. We are literally the undisputed poverty capital of the world, our economy is in shambles, our currency is dead, and our people are being kidnapped, displaced, and killed left, right, and center every single day. Indifferent neutrality at this tragic stage of our history should be classified as a mental disorder, or a form of political delusion.
If you do not agree with Western representative democracy in its entirety, then have the audacity to design your own political system, draft its constitution, and aggressively promote it to the masses. If you truly believe that socialism is the only future, then sit down and write sharp political essays, actively promote Marxist-Leninist thought, organize study groups, and try to build underground cell networks, cadre schools, and resistance cells to push for this actual revolution.
At this critical stage of our national survival, every single individual must be doing something, organizing something, or fighting for something. Absolutely nobody has the luxury, the right, or the privilege to be politically neutral.
With profound humility, gratitude, and a clear sense of purpose, I accept our party's nomination to serve as its candidate for Governor of Lagos State in 2027.
I am deeply grateful for the confidence our great party has placed in me and for our shared belief that Lagos deserves much better—inclusive leadership that works for everyone.
The real work begins now. Together, we will build the Lagos that we know is possible.
My friends, it’s time - O TI Ya!
This is what Pentecostals spend transport money to listen to every Sunday. I vividly remember how disgusted I was the first time I followed my friend to house on the rock Enugu. Very useless church. I don’t know how you people do that to yourselves on a weekly basis.
the lack of class consciousness is consistent across board.
until the majority of us develop political awareness, class solidarity, and the capacity for second and third-order thinking, not much is going to change. sadly.
on individualism, exceptionalism and lack of (class) solidarity
over time i’ve noticed a persistent problem with the quality of thought from the average nigerian, regardless of education. it’s a cultural issue, and i think its roots run deep into religious programming.
or “bandits are almost in lagos, the government needs to do something.” myopic statements like these make me cringe. there’s no solidarity nor empathy. the same way i cringe hearing a woman with exposure and education say something along the lines of “i’m not a feminist.”
Nobody said Pastor Adeboye is responsible for Nigeria's problems
Nigerians are saying Pastor Adeboye is a hypocrite and an enabler of bad governance & supporter of corrupt politicians
