Went power walking a few days ago with the intention of trying to get my health back in check and happened to spot a HUGE cluster of oyster mushrooms on a tree that added up to almost 8lbs! And another smaller cluster today at my cousin’s house!!! They are SO GOOD!!!

@boilingsulphur The biggest concern is bugs, a few which I blew off, but I hear soaking in a 50/50 vinegar water solution helps draw anything out. I am confident enough to blow off what I see and depending on how I plan store, go from there.

@boilingsulphur The dehydrated ones can be soaked in water for an hour or two and basically be back to normal, sliced as needed. Best for stir fry and soups!

@boilingsulphur We dehydrated most of them, and the biggest bits (like in the pic of me holding) I froze to be cooked like a steak later! Even my picky dad, after I fried a few pieces in salted butter and seasoned salt, he said he couldn't tell the difference between it and a med-rare steak!

@boilingsulphur We have had eggs for a while with our first girls who do very well, and now our latest ones are starting to squat (seeing the owner as the rooster and submitting),is always rewarding!
