More than thousand metric tons of debries collected from the beaches have been moved in sealed containers to a yard approved by the central environment authority. Meanwhile the beach clean up process continues.

A very big thank you to everyone who sent in photos of our coastline prior to the MV Xpress Pearl incident! The response was overwhelming and we received photos from 40 locations along the affected coastline, from 120 contributors in just 24 hours!
A Special Media Conference was held at Department of Information Centre to brief the media on the steps taken by the government to mitigate the MV X-Press Pearl moving forward to support the Marines.
