@RightmyerLaura @TheCarolErskine Therein lies another problem. Not enough mental health beds for people to get the help they need. The whole mental health system needs a huge overhaul. IMHO if one good thing that could come from this case is for mental health reform.

@defense_diaries Depending on the pills, you could potentially use two spoons together to crush pills. If the pills are in packaging you can use a book. There are a multitude of things to use to crush pills if you don't have a mortar and pestle and really want to do it.

@suspiciousauce I was diagnosed with PPD and it evolved to depression years later. My mom was the one who recognized it and helped me navigate getting help. If it wasn't for her I am not sure I would have gotten help or even be here. She didn't judge she just helped.

@Courtne91162652 The sad part is that was what was taught in psych nursing 30 plus years ago. In 30 plus years NOTHING has changed...why?? Everything else has changed based on research, trials, etc. But alas here we are doing the same thing expecting different results.

@defense_diaries These ADA's are literally pushing her to the edge yet again and it's cruel. She should be allowed to leave the room for this part of the testimony. Like it or not, they are her kids and she loved them despite what happened. She was still their mom.

@justlarry315 Yes to all of this!! I suffered from PPD and if it wasn't for my mom and husband seeing it I never would have recognized it in myself. I got treatment, but trying to find the right medicine was a nightmare. My heart breaks for every mother who suffers with it
