Work hard. (Take pride in what you do.)
Have integrity. (Do the right thing even when nobody’s watching.)
Be kind. (Treat everyone you meet with respect.)
This is my advice to graduates... and to everyone else.
Very proud of my girls! We found out yesterday that we have made the soccer playoffs for the first time in history! We travel to Boaz for the 1st round and play @ 6:00 PM. 🦅 ⚽️

We all have “off days” … days when we’re not on top of our game. But we can always be kind to the kids, and we can always be team players. Seriously folks… we can always control those two things.
There are great teachers who have a “count down” to summer break. I realize it’s a common practice... but please think twice about it. We have students who don’t want the year to end; they’re not looking forward to the summer. Our school is the best place they have.
Students remember some of their teachers. They remember the ones who cared, the ones who were silly, the ones who tried to connect with students, the ones who always seemed to love their job. EVERY teacher has the opportunity to be memorable.
We don’t win kids over with consequences; we win them over with relationships. Sometimes, they need consequences… but we should always be mindful of what it is that will win them over.
