Tensile Tester Finally has a Pulse! https://t.co/WTRmukMFVt via @YouTube It has been a long, twisty road but moving again. A little more functional testing/development then dig into @FullControlXYZ to scheme up some physiologic artery wall designs and on to the 3D printing fun!
Exciting to see the multiplanar progress you and your team are making!! Inspires confidence that there is a viable path to printing physical arterial models with realistic mechanical properties AND important anatomy like the aortic arch - just a "few tweaks" to go!
Thank you @The_SMF_ for such an awesome SMRRF! And thanks to all my awesome students and @Duet3D to get this 4-axis system up and running. It was so amazing to be at a reprap festival. So many positive people with great ideas!
Have you wanted to try printing with CoexFlex™ 60A TPU but weren't sure if you could handle it? Check out our new in-depth guide for everything related to printing with this ultra-soft flexible filament!

There's a cool demo model for printing wing nuts and bolts
Took <2 mins to print an M8 wing nut ⏱

@_gear_geek_ Indeed there is, see https://t.co/F807aNEN3I and https://t.co/f1VZcDDOvR Nonplanar printing is required to maintain desired wall shape (mechanical properties) for non vertical long axis orientations and Delta style for length - 0.5m - 2m. Filament is X60 polyurethane...
@_gear_geek_ Printing with high-temp (200 C heat deflection) resin is trickier🥵but this morning's batch looks promising! If workable will test flow distribution with the mister, hopefully today🤞
@_gear_geek_ First attempt to print in resin, seems to work!. Holes are 1mm dia. A little more practice and should be perfect! Also have model ready to go for duct without guide vanes. Should be able to test flow distribution in a couple of weeks, will let you know.
@_gear_geek_ Nice summary of the current #opensource (ish) 5 & 6 DoF printing situation🙏 Exciting to see ongoing exploration and development!! Gcode generation and motion control seems to be the hard part. @FullControlXYZ
@_gear_geek_@marbocub I think so, if the opening is too large, the pressure in the header (plenum) may not become high enough to drive air around to the far side. So a very narrow slit or perhaps a ring of small holes. Is it possible to make your air nozzle a separate piece to easily experiment?
