Shirley Hughes is one of my biggest writing inspirations. Without these stories and the memories they gave me, I may not have had the motivation or imagination to write my own... And to receive a reply...β€οΈ
@slooptheseagull Oh what fun Ruth to have a new generation to introduce your most favourite stories to and share new ones with. Happy reading together, and thank you for getting in touch. Kind regards Clare SHHQ
@ShirleyHughes_ Shirley Hughes books have been my inspiration for years. I now read them to my own two daughters and my youngest, age 4, is the perfect age for them at the moment. She loves them as much as I did/do. I'm instantly transported back to my childhood. Just wonderful.
@mcsparkyj I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. We've loved looking at all the adventures you've had with Poppy, you've shared some truly magical times together and Poppy will always be a big part of Woolacombe. Poppy was such a friendly, happy dog and I'm so glad I was able to meet you both
Sloop loves stories like this! This one is especially close to our heart though as this is our very own Florence (the same Florence that Sloop the Seagull is dedicated to)! We are super, super proud! Well done Florence and thank you for your amazing help Zachary! #ourfuture
After reading about endangered species in a story book, Florence set up her own raffle and raised Β£439 to help their conservation - what a superstar! #TeamPanda πΌ #CharityTuesday
@mcsparkyj@swcoastpath That's wonderful! We recognised Poppy as soon as we saw it. It's such a lovely photo! Hope you are well and enjoying visits to Woolacombe xx
