The San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority (RTA) provides intercommunity public transportation servicing all of San Luis Obispo County & into Santa Maria.

On Wednesday January 11, RTA will return to regular weekday service. South County Transit, Dial a Ride and Runabout are also on regular service!

The roads are improving! RTA will be operating on a Saturday schedule today. No service to Morro Bay and Paso routes A&B cannot run. Runabout and Dial a Ride are in service. South County Transit is running on a regular schedule.

RTA will run ONE Route 12 trip, one route 10 South and one Route 9 North at 4:30 from the SLO Government Center. Drop offs only. Route 12 cannot serve Morro Bay at this time

RTA service is suspended as of 8am Monday Jan 9. We will restart service when it is safe to drive.

Planning ahead! Starting Sunday June 28, RTA and South County Transit return to hourly bus trips. There will be no express trips during this stage of transition. Fares will stay at the 50¢ regular/25¢ discounted, and a face covering is required to ride the bus.

Thursday June 4, RTA is again temporarily closing the downtown SLO Government Center bus stop today with an alternative stop at the corner of Monterey and Toro. From there RTA will transfer riders to the Amtrak station for Routes 9, 10 & 12.
