...who just wanted to check into a room, like I was doing, and couldn't, because there wasn't a room they could offer him & he watched an endless queue of people check in, while he waited for the staff to call other hotels to see if they could accommodate him. It's 2023 FFS...

Checked into a hotel this evening and in the hotel reception there was a man in a wheelchair, sat in the reception, while the staff were trying to find him an accessible room (from what I overheard.) I don't know the full circumstances but I really felt for this man...

Today I did gardening. I mean, the grass is still a foot tall in most of the garden cos #NoMowMay but I weeded the top "flower bed", dug a second bed, fixed the solar light, bought compost & planted 2 pots of herbs in fence pots. Small steps and all that.
