Of all the outrageous things Jasmine Crockett said about this case, this is probably the worst—to suggest that the Metcalf’s are buffered from some level of pain and fear because they’re white.

They’re literally living every parent’s worst nightmare.

And if people like Jasmine demand that white people defer to black people on what it’s like to be black, then Jasmine, you need to defer to the Metcalf’s on what it’s like to have your brother bleed out in your arms and what it’s like to bury a son.

What is so utterly striking to me is not only that every single person who defends Karmelo does so solely on the basis of race but also that they never acknowledge Austin or his family at all. They act like Austin got a flesh wound and is still walking around living his life while Karmelo goes to prison. They show zero compassion for this family. And then for Jasmine to mention them only in the context of saying they don’t know her level of pain and fear is truly diabolical.

This rhetoric is dangerous. If you’re so focused on race that you can’t show compassion and respect for a family who senselessly and violent post their son and brother, then you are a monster; you are everything you claim to fight against.

Disclosure Day: The Last Boomer Propaganda Movie

I went to see Spielberg’s Disclosure Day and found myself watching a strange, late-stage piece of boomer propaganda about aliens, media, religion, and who we are supposed to trust. Here are my thoughts on the symbolism of the film.

Tensions between Ankara and Jerusalem have reached a boiling point. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has launched an aggressive new tirade, comparing Benjamin Netanyahu to Hitler and describing Israel as a "shark smelling blood" aggressively targeting Syria and Lebanon. Declaring that Turkey's security perimeter begins in Damascus and Beirut, Erdoğan openly warned Israel against military "adventures" in the Mediterranean.

This follows his Interior Minister's shocking public declaration of a desire to "liberate" Jerusalem and bring it back under Turkish sovereignty.

Prime Minister Netanyahu fired back immediately, calling Erdoğan an "antisemitic dictator" who commits genocide against the Kurds and has zero moral authority to lecture Israel.

Meanwhile, when asked about the volatile situation, U.S. President Donald Trump completely brushed the threats aside, simply calling Erdoğan "a very good friend of mine."

Poor Lebanese Prez Aoun. He’s backpedaling because he was double crossed. America told him we’re behind his direct talks and agreement with Israel. Then Tom Barrack (alongside Turkey, Saudi) started pushing his own plans for Lebanon, first by sabotaging Rubio’s official channel and inserting an alternative Trump-Berri-Hezbollah channel, and second by scheduling a Syrian Prez Sharaa visit to White House during which Trump will hand Sharaa Lebanon’s keys to take on Hezbollah.

Erdogan already said Beirut is part of Turkey’s security (since Sharaa will be taking over) and an Erdogan minister went as far as promising to “retake” Jerusalem.

America is too chaotic for Aoun to bet on. Direct talks for peace seem to be too good to be true. Barrack is wreaking havoc across the Middle East.
