How it started, how it’s going 💐

The collection stems from my fascination with nature systems + the seemingly inherent trait that humans have with changing it, re-engineering it; tenets of the anthropocene. These works experiment with existing biology to consider how a species might hybridize + morph over time

The Red Flowering Gum is part of a collection of 14 re-imagined Australian native species. Slithers of time are captured and digitally rendered, re-imagining the otherwise impermanent and ephemeral nature of botanicals.

The “Red Flowering Gum, in motion” will be at the Tweed Regional Art Gallery for the Wollumbin Art Prize for a few months!

The gallery is home to the Margaret Olley Art Centre - this artwork feels like I am giving her a little kiss.
