On Dec. 12, Park’s band performed their first concert of the year at the middle school auditorium. The concert consisted of the Park jazz band, along with the 9th grade band. Each band performed four songs of their own.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), or seasonal depression, is a type of depression that occurs during the changing of seasons, especially during winter. Symptoms for SAD include oversleeping, appetite changes, weight gain and tiredness or low energy.

In preparation for Park’s Chamber Orchestra’s first performance at the Shalom Home on Dec. 15, they are working hard to perfect their songs. This orchestra group only practices together twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, working on multiple songs.

Every five years, Park’s IB (International Baccalaureate) program is evaluated to ensure the school is allowing students to reach their full potential within IB classes. This especially affects students taking or interested in the IB diploma.
