@RadioMirage @NPRCodeSwitch This summer we organized a petition signed by 53k people to get the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association to make a statement denouncing racism. We have also pushed for universities with speech-language-hearing programs to remove the GRE requirement permanently.

@RadioMirage @NPRCodeSwitch Our nonprofit @slpsofcolor &others trying to change one of the whitest fields in America. In 2013, speech-language pathologists were the 3rd whitest profession in the US. In 2019, only 8% of SLPs are POC. SLPs work in schools& hospitals- 2 big sectors affected by racial inequity.
