I charge nothing because if you came to me for an oil service, and your water pump was leaking, my guys would find and note that.

I worked at TRP from 2000-2022. RPS Relationship Mgmt then RPS Sales (COS office). Used to host a pig picking at my home. Around 2006 or so my boss and the Costco HR Benefits team came to the annual party (with another 150 guests). Got so hammered smoking pigs all night that mid-day I decided it was a good idea to zip line naked across my backyard in full view of everyone. Good times. Costco folks were great. Really liked them.

I do not post positions anywhere. When I need senior talent I hunt and poach and almost always win. For the young talent, those willing to put in time and grow their skills, I select from those with the maturity to walk into my shop, dressed nicely (it’s a high-end auto shop so suits not necessary, but put together is noticed), able to look me in the eye and carry on a conversation.
Just hired one of them. 1 year left in his technical school. We’ve adjusted his schedule to allow for his school responsibilities. Smart. Motivated. Kid is going to win in life. And I’m going to accelerate his success.
