@LinkofSunshine My father has a pension, when they were calculating by ERISA and GAAP rules, ERSIA had a surplus and GAAP had a shortage. GAAP calculations stopped showing up on the disclosures (assume some regulatory rule stopped requiring them)

@LinkofSunshine They’re gonna have to restructure those pension plans, no one wants to be the guy who has to cut them but truth be told idk what else they can do. Doesn’t help that ERISA calculations on pension funding make’s pensions seem healthier than GAAP.

@mikitaposts Maybe research? Economics of American manufacturing aren’t there anymore; city property values, regulatory environment and taxes don’t help. They’re trying to build that quantum computing hub in Chicago instead of say a chip fab.

@PaulTassi Reckon they will just make online f2p with 6 owners get some goodies to incentivize that purchase. Either that or stick what they’ve done. No way they’re going subscription as that would likely hurt sales of micro transactions.

@DarkViperAU These days a lot of institutional trades are done by algorithms that for instance might not connect the dots. I remember a few years ago for instance $RBLX had a multi day outage and the stock price went up if that’s an indicator of market sentiment for you.

@DarkViperAU Comparing $TTWO to the TriplePoint Video Game Index which is an index of video game firms you do notice T2 has underperformed over the past few days but longer term have done better. Investor publications haven’t picked up the story as well. correlation ≠ causation.

@GameRoll_ Wouldn’t be shocked if they went free to play just to increase the audience of players who might purchase micro transactions. Suspect players who got in for free are more likely to purchase micro transactions and more of them then players who had to pay upfront.
