@puckempire This deal really only matters for year 1 and 2. You dish out the extra 3 years to lower the AAV after year 2 no one will care if he makes too much money if McDavid is gone and the Oilers are irrelevant.

@nic_lic06 @NHL_Watcher But the Oilers are completely cash strapped. They made huge mistakes signing Skinner and Arvidsson over homegrown talent the offseason they moved Mcleod not saying it was a great move to move Mcleod but theirs definitely been a lot worse in the McDavid era.
