As promised, here's a vid shot by Merciful Release from our last gig with Alex back in August at @WindmillBrixton (I'm sure you've all been on tenterhooks waiting for it). 😎 #londongig#postpunk#Brixton https://t.co/tHgjsAuoDF
So... what have we been up to? Well, despite losing our drummer (a huge loss, genuinely great guy/drummer but thankfully still a good friend) we spent the pandemic writing and recording as a three piece.
Just prior to that we released a single online - Trash Proof - one of the tracks we wrote during one of the lockdowns. You can hear it here: https://t.co/eypeNczVLm
Evidence of last night's Slys rehearsal - our first since just before the original lockdown (remember those wonderful pre-Covid times?). #rehearsal#londonband#tooloudforcovid
@Shewee16 @bbcintroducing Thanks a load. Just had a listen to your tracks on YouTube and ❤ it. It's got an 80s/early 90s vibe (if yiu don't mind me saying) that I'm all about.
Should probably keep this updated more often. It's not like we've been idle, but not being able to perform live or even rehearse properly as a band has felt weird.
We've written a load of tracks and we're in the process of recording them ourselves. Having a singer who knows his way around the recording software is a huge bonus.
@Dyslexic_aDve@thedavidcrosby asked us to watch him at the 12 Bar Club on Denmark Street, London one night. We were outside after playing a gig at the Alley Cat opposite. He was helping a friend out on guitar while he was over. All our mates were downstairs waiting for us though. Lovely guy.
