One thing to think about is that your success is important to way more people than you could imagine. There are folks you do not keep in close contact with that feel genuine happiness for your success. Your wins carry more weight than you could comprehend
@zeanot11@Dannymans66 On the flip side though Luffy’s fruit was later revealed to be a god tier legendary fruit. I’m not trying to bad mouth either by the way. I think Oda has the benefit of so much time to tie everything together. Love both shows though
American Express is raising the annual fee on its Platinum credit card to $895, from $695, the latest advance in the battle for affluent cardholders and the spending they rack up.
Here are the details on what is now the priciest card in its segment: https://t.co/i1qEsWrVFY
@eltokh7@JohnRuf6 I have a feeling the venn diagram of rhetoric used during a PHD in economics and law school first week has a huge overlap “with all that’s happening we need the minds in this room now more than ever” while the majority of students are googling the firms with the highest salary
Okay okay. First reaction, this is fucking sickening. Second, more level headed take, imagine Luka wins a ring at some point (not saying immediately or even the lakers) and says “I never had a vet as impactful as Marcus, he is the reason I won this chip” that would be cathartic.
Wemby out here going to monk monasteries, grinding chess, and treating many media questions as a prompt to a philosophy essay and now is going to be paired with the big silly goose of Luke Kornet haha
All facts; however I still believe the game was over. If Tatum didn’t get hurt I 100% believe the next 4 C possessions would be Tatum shooting with 3-10 on the shot clock. He was ungodly, but still think we lose.
The Ps had wild back door layups the Cs offense wasn’t finding
Knicks fans SWORE that game 4 was over even before Tatum went down with an injury (9 point game with 3 minutes left).
Tonight the Knicks just blew a 14 point lead in 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
My atheism boils down to the fact that we are social creatures who must live in collective organizations in order to flourish, how this impacts my life is meaningfully indistinguishable for how many interpret their religion. COEXIST bumper stickers are cringe, but also not wrong
I purposely am not looking up this organization to make a larger point. I am a devout atheist. My atheism has never made me feel connected to a community, however has been immensely influential in my world view and how I live my life.
The same is true of Christianity Islam, Hinduism, or [insert religion here]. I sure as shit have been embarrassed by the words and actions of fellow atheists, and if those people had power, they would take actions I would find disgusting.
@WorldWideWob Repeats are rare; the path was really there though. The reg season was game planned for a playoff run by resting players. Losing in 7 with competitive games would be easier to swallow. They lost games they should have won and an injury impacting next season occurred. Very sad.
Charles Barkley with a great perspective on Payton Pritchard earning – truly earning – Sixth Man of the Year:
"You know what’s really cool about that situation? He built his game. He made himself a hell of a player. A lot of guys come in, they got all the hype and everything, but that kid made himself a terrific NBA player. You're happy to see guys win awards like that."
There will never be another Horford or B Lopez. Players who were legitimately forceful low post threats who never shot outside of the elbow and became consistent and often lethal 3 point shooters.
Tonight, Al Horford became the 4th player in NBA HISTORY to record 1,300+ career BLK and 900+ career 3PM!
He joins:
Clifford Robinson (1390 BLK, 1253 3PM)
Rasheed Wallace (1460 BLK, 1086 3PM)
Brook Lopez (2057 BLK, 1074 3PM)
Historic combo of rim protection and shooting 🚫🎯
