🚨🗣 Egypt's Coach Hossam Hassan couldn't control himself after full-time:
"I will say what's on my mind regardless of the consequence, this was clearly a rigged match and the whole world saw it"
"And I want to say one more thing, if they want them [Argentina] to win so bad, why call everyone to come and participate?"
Iran are eliminated because of
- a goal v. Belgium ruled out due to a player's butt being offside
- a last minute goal v. Egypt ruled out due to a player's toenail being offside
- a goal from Austria in the 96th minute from a player subbed on on the 95th
@arasaka222 100%. I’ve never seen a team as unlucky as us like ever 😭. I’m proud of the team and what they’ve had to face. Everyone should hold their heads high. We go again in 2030 (hopefully)
Disgusting treatment! Especially when most of the players haven’t been able to play since February bc of the war 🥲. Proud of this team no matter what happens tn 🫶
Iran captain Mehdi Taremi has criticised FIFA and its president Gianni Infantino for their handling of his country’s World Cup campaign.
After a third group stage draw left Iran waiting on other results before they learn whether they have progressed to the round of 32, Taremi described the World Cup’s logistical challenges as a “disaster”.
The team had initially been due to be based in Tucson, Arizona during the tournament, but moved their base camp to Tijuana in Mexico at the end of May as the military conflict between the United States and Iran continued.
“It’s a disaster World Cup; a disaster,” Taremi told reporters at full time on Friday.
“I mean, FIFA, they have to solve every problem here but unfortunately they could not solve it since the beginning. Mr Infantino came to our changing room after the first game against New Zealand and said, ‘It’s just the beginning…’ but the group stage finishes tomorrow.
“We don’t have our logistic people here — they don’t have a visa. How is it possible we always have to travel from Tijuana?”

@GoldbergCFC@RobinsonMontell@gerald_montfort@Criss_Crossv2@CFCPys@RH_CFC We have Palmer and Estevao in Paz’s position. Those aren’t bums 😭 I get that Paz is talented, but trust who we have (elite players). Bringing Paz, with 1 game a week, won’t work, esp for Estevao’s development. We don’t need to stockpile, esp when we have other positions to fill
@GoldbergCFC@RobinsonMontell@gerald_montfort@Criss_Crossv2@CFCPys@RH_CFC Idk man, Gerald is making sense to me. He’s saying that if we’re in la la land, to bring a Vini/Kvara bc that’s what we need over Olise. It seems simple enough 😭. If we had a RW problem, I’m sure he would automatically say yes to Olise, but we don’t. Now apply that logic to Paz.
@GoldbergCFC@RobinsonMontell@gerald_montfort@Criss_Crossv2@CFCPys@RH_CFC Why do u twist hypotheticals to favor ur stance though 😭 ofc in isolation everyone would take Olise, but our team has other needs rn. Bringing in Paz would be a 🖕 to Estevao the same way bringing in Olise would. We have other priorities and unfortunately we don’t need Paz rn.
