Wells Fargo might be the most underrated team in finance. I mean, they're literally building a settlement engine with compliant privacy using Pedersen Commitments, Bullet Proofs, Homomorphic Balances WOW and the best part is that they're doing all of this... on the Cosmos SDK.
#Ethereum seems to follow #Spacemesh Athena VM regarding Risc-V architecture 😌 #Spacemesh might be one of the first networks to use this next-gen VM design!
Dear Spacemesh Community,
Over the past few days, we’ve heard your feedback loud and clear. It’s become evident that a more comprehensive and radical overhaul is expected—not just a change to inflation. Many of you have expressed that “changing inflation alone will do nothing for the project.”
The prevailing sentiment is that Spacemesh cannot move forward or recover without sweeping changes across all areas: from production to functionality, and especially tokenomics. Based on your input, here are the key points being called for (not limited to):
1) Transition from a Dev Company to a Decentralized DAO, including the establishment of vaults for a DAO treasury.
2) A complete Tokenomics Overhaul, including a burn mechanism to actively reduce supply and the introduction of a stronger deflationary model to incentivize long-term holding.
3) Eliminating pool centralization via Improved Features for larger/industrial Smeshers. Such as “1:n” POST setup (choosing multiple drives for Proof of Space-Time)
(*) Note: K2pow issues are no-more with PoST v2.
4) A more detailed AthenaVM roadmap, with clear checkpoints for the community to track progress.
We deeply appreciate the voices of those who have stood by Spacemesh over the years. We are listening, and we want to act in a way that truly aligns with the community’s vision. That said, we will not be able to present a full and detailed plan addressing all of this by tomorrow.
Therefore, we propose the following:
1) The town hall meeting originally scheduled for tomorrow will be postponed. A new date will be set once a concrete proposal for this broader overhaul is made public and reviewed by the community. This will ensure the town hall is meaningful and productive.
2) In the meantime, I will still be available at the same time tomorrow on the usual Zoom link—not for a formal town hall, but to answer any immediate questions or concerns the community may have.
Thank you for your continued support and passion for Spacemesh. We’re in this together, and your voice matters.

NEW RELEASE ‼️
Introducing go-spacemesh 1.8.3!
This release fixes an issue where the node would repeatably broadcast ATXs it already has seen, causing unnecessary network traffic.
➡️ GO-SPACEMESH 1.8.3: https://t.co/M47h4a2l6r
The important configs are hard-coded, so you only need to update config manually if you've made manual changes to the config file in the past. (Most recent config is here: https://t.co/oJHPsSyHu7)
➡️ SMAPP 1.8.3: https://t.co/dzRFZFJITI
To learn how to update your Smapp, please watch the Smapp update tutorial: https://t.co/1TEyYQJRTD

What's your Opinion on a possible Tokenomics Change? Should the overall Supply be reduced and/or the emissions? What do you think could be the outcome?
I'm very excited about the #Spacemesh Relaunch 🥰
