@mezza_man@Cecilysaunder18@Poppyjuice You know, I'm not even necessarily here to disagree that vaccination should be a choice. It's complex. But promoting an anti-vax agenda with disingenuous claims is undermining other people's free choice by obscuring what that choice truly is.
@mezza_man@Cecilysaunder18@Poppyjuice It is disingenuous to cherry-pick a niche bit of data that fits your narrative and present it as something more than it is, and to juxtapose this artificially low estimate with an inflated (if not fake?) estimate of vaccine deaths. All of it is misinformation designed to mislead.
@mezza_man@Cecilysaunder18@Poppyjuice Also while we're here, let's make perfectly clear: "respected Dr" = man with a PhD in nursing education and a Youtube channel, not a medical doctor in a field relevant to this discussion. Likes on Youtube are not expertise.
@Cecilysaunder18@Poppyjuice 17,000 COVID deaths? We surpassed 150,000 a few weeks back. Here is the data:

Do you care to share a source for your claims, or does being a free thinker mean you just pull random numbers out of your arse and spread dangerous misinformation?
I (woman on bicycle) have just been verbally assaulted by two men on mopeds with learner plates, who were unhappy with my road use and told me "you need to lose weight". Lads, one of us here is getting exercise and it isn't either of you small-dick muppets who bully lone women???
@foxacheUK@fesshole TBF, if OP is standing with a big rucksack on, taking up as much space as possible, it's unlikely they're even occupying the same step as someone on the other side. And this only works if it's the system everyone gets on board with. This is one jerk, not a crusader for justice.
I say this as someone who exclusively travels by bike and public transport and would dearly love to see fewer cars on the road. Marketing harder isn't going to be make people want to take the train when it's better value to drive--especially with a bloody plague going about.
'To encourage more people to take the train, the rail industry is running a national marketing campaign with the slogan, "Let's get back on track"'.
Huns, maybe try "Let's get back on making train travel better value than individual car journeys"? 😚

This slogan is so funny to me because the "track" you're insisting people should get on is "overpriced and overcrowded trains during a pandemic", and you're trying to incentivise them with what? Puns?
