By shielding from arrest all protesters who have no criminal record, the Supreme Court is in effect turning a blind eye to violence. You can now crack a policeman's skull and not be arrested if you are doing it for the first time.

Default on farm loan, State will waive it. Burn rice stubble, State will ignore it. Steal electricity, State will subsidise it. Attack police, State will allow it. Eke an honest salary, State will tax it.
