Regardless of how generous or selfless they are.

Monopolistic powers mixed with a self-interested person is a recipe for disaster and corruption.

That's why any form of government Can't be "fair", "equitable" or anything like that.

@SunAfterStorms I believe popular opinion of Americans would be generally supportive unless it were California, New york, maybe Texas, or Florida, or if it were leaded entirely by either Republicans or democrats then the other would be totally against it.

For where I am, California would be way worse, in a way, individual rights benefit here when state rights suffer.

Something else to consider here, it is very likely alot of the same things the federal gov does today would be taken over by the state govs.
