Winter Colours - Sunart Oakwoods, Resipole, #Sunart

It may be winter, but there is still colour to be found in Sunart's ancient Atlantic Oakwoods and the contrast between the silver skeletons of oaks and the mauve swathes of bare silver birch trees always seems to catch my eye.

Night Beacon - Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, #Ardnamurchan

The light of Ardnamurchan Lighthouse shining bright under a starry night sky. It’s such an impressive structure from any angle. I especially like the ‘Egyptian Style’ architectural detail that runs beneath the balcony.

Beneath Giants - The Alphabet Trail, Salen, #Ardnamurchan

Capella, the brightest star in the constellation of Auriga (The Charioteer), and the 11th brightest star in the night sky, shining bright above the tall larch trees that line the Alphabet Trail near Salen.

@Treespotter25 Yes Stephen, a great place to be and the walk over to Portuairk is lovely, but that’s for another time. Same for Bay MacNeil, as I’m saving that for another time. it never disappoints though and the walk to it from Portuairk is a good one too.
