これは単なる意見の違いではなく、同党が長年、反基地・反安保の支持層を抱え込んできた結果であり、安全保障政策において主体的な立場を確立できていないことを意味する。

一方で、旧公明党は辺野古移設を含む日米同盟・現実的安全保障政策を是認してきた政党である。

本来であれば、この両者が政党として統合・協力するためには、安全保障という国家の根幹に関わる政策について明確な合意形成が不可欠である。

しかし実際には、その合意が存在しないまま、中道改革連合という枠組みで候補者調整・一本化が行われた。

この構図が示しているのは、政策的一貫性よりも選挙上の都合が優先されたという事実である。

具体的には、旧立憲側は学会票を含む組織票の支援を失わないこと、すなわち「当選可能性」を最大化することを優先し、安全保障政策の不一致という本質的問題を棚上げにした。

安全保障は本来、政党の理念や政策体系の中核であり、「意見の違いがあってもよい」分野ではない。

少なくとも、連立や統合を名乗る以上、国防・同盟・基地政策について最低限の共通認識が求められる。
