When I see a good project, I immediately go to the founder’s page to see what he tweets about.
If he tweets more about the tech powering his project, it’s a very green flag to me.
If he continues to tweet about why airdrop farmers will ruin his product, that’s a big red flag for me.
Because he doesn’t understand the right marketing for his project.
If he tweets about “community is everything,” then he wants to farm the community because he knows his tech/project is trash.
We saw this play out last year.

Importance of Building a Community or Building Around a Community
I want you to understand that X is a community based platform.
Engagement from a community can spark a worldwide discussion.
This should tell you how important community is.
Even in the jobbing aspect, you just need to know someone that knows someone to put you on.
A few months ago, I remember always pitching to different projects. I was ignored a lot until I came up with the idea of building an actual community on Telegram.
This community members understand that I can deliver, hence they refer me.
Can you see? The more I have people around me, the more referrals I get.
The more I give value to them, the more trust i gain from them.
This is how it works in the grand scheme of things.
Being active around a good community helps you get noticed, and you get put on to opportunities.
I’m not saying it’s a must to join a community, but you can’t be looking for a job somewhere and expect a community leader to leave their own people alone to answer who is not offering him any form of value.
unless you have something better to offer them that none of their community members could offer.
If you are looking for a Web3 job, join a community and become an active contributor.
You will eventually get noticed if you are in the right community.
Get knowledge.
There was a time I genuinely thought I was doing well with my design skill.
I started making designs for companies and brands. I was doing brand identity and getting clients, so I just felt like, “Yeah, I’m good at this. I don’t really need to stress myself looking for clients. The people I’ve worked with will refer me to other people and work will keep coming.”
But that was just me imagining things 😂
Because the reality is, you can actually be very good at something and still not get enough opportunities.
I knew I was good at design, but I didn’t really know how to put myself out there. I didn’t know how to communicate my value properly. I just thought because I was good, people would somehow find me.
But what if the person that gave you that big job doesn’t refer you to anybody?
What if the next person they refer you to can’t even pay you what the previous client paid?
What if that client is gone and you need another client?
How do you get the next one?
That was when I started realizing that having a skill is one thing, but knowing how to market yourself is another thing entirely.
Because nobody can know how good you are if you never show them.
And that’s one of the reasons I started taking personal branding seriously.
You need to be able to communicate what you do. You need to put your work out there. You need to let people know what you’re good at and the kind of value you can bring.
And it’s not even just about getting clients.
You can attract opportunities, brand deals, collaborations, and even build an audience that eventually buys your own products or courses.
So if you have a skill that you know you’re good at, but you’re still sitting there waiting for people to discover you, you need to start putting yourself out there.
I’ll be hosting a 3-day masterclass in October where I’ll be teaching you how to build and monetize your personal brand on 𝕏.
If you’re interested, you can check the details in the comments.

Absolutely 💯
The growth starts from within
When you see yourself less, others sees you less
Work on what you say to yourself before looking at what other people are saying

It is hard to update your resume and look for a job when you question the value you bring.
It’s hard for you to start building your brand when you question your personality.
It all starts with the mind. Once your mind is fixed, the grind gets easier.
