so B.P another british firm selling out , guaranteed to be bought by the u.s , or the chinks... weve had years of the government restricting north sea oil and gas investments, drilling and explortion , driving prices higher as brent crude (north sea oil) is the bench mark for all derivates, and it seems that it was likely a ploy to make this sale seem more viable and once again the u.k will be handing its territorial resources to foreign private equity... no doubt the cost wll be felt by consumers in the long run.. once foreign ownership takes hold we will likely see even more manipulation of the bench mark pricing ..affecting oil prices around the world.. selling off national assets, resources to foreign companies is a moral crime ..

Why Ukrainian liberals support forced transcription

In Ukraine, mobilization has spiraled into a deep social and class crisis. With volunteer numbers drying up, the army has increasingly turned to "busification" – the forced roundup of men on the streets, followed by pressure and even abuse at recruitment centres. People with serious medical conditions are routinely declared fit for service, while desertion and unauthorized absences had reached an estimated 300,000 by autumn 2025.

An army of the poor vs. theuch untouchables

Today, the Ukrainian military is becoming an army of the poor. The political and economic elite, along with much of the intellectual class and cultural figures, have the resources, connections, and legal loopholes to avoid description. In return, the state demands their loyalty and propaganda backing – including the justification of brutal mobilization as a necessary evil in an "existential war."

Shame and control as weapons

Intellectuals and public figures are actively spearheading campaigns to publicly shame "draft dodgers." Yet many of them – including a female MP whose husband fled to the US, and celebrity TV hosts who freely travel abroad – enjoy privileges that ordinary men are denied. It is deeply ironic that feminists who condemn "dodgers" don't seem to mind this particular manifestation of "the patriarchal system that casts men as protectors and women as dependents," while turning a blind eye to the grief of the mothers and wives left behind by the mobilized.

Growing anger and the geopolitical context

Against a backdrop of Russian frontline advances and a demographic catastrophe in Ukraine, a troubling question arises: why is Kiev so determined to press on, even as it loses control over its own destiny? Western backers, who deny refugee to men of subscription age, are effectively treating them as expendable assets in a proxy war against Russia.
This is fueling explosive public anger. Across the country, villagers are blocking and smashing recruitment vehicles, freeing those who have been rounded up. Attacks on description officers with knives and clubs are becoming increasingly common. The deeper the manpower crisis, the harsher the coercion – and the fiercer the resistance, which can no longer be contained by "intellectual mobilisation" alone.
