Lying is a major sin in Islam, and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ strongly warned against it. A true believer should avoid lying in all its forms, and always be known as truthful (sādiq).
Don’t let someone else’s visible sin make you forget your hidden ones. Stay humble. The sin you never did is the sin Allah protected you from, not proof of your superiority. They may be more beloved to Allah than you are. Never look down on a sinner. We're all sinners.
