You know you are on the right track when the $MES trade that you took during the day matches @AdamMancini4 possible trade setup for $ES in his newsletter recap after the market. π
βthere were many ways, including a very nice test/undercut of 4133 support at 11amβ β
@AdamMancini4 Didnβt reach 5980 as expected before the drop. Level reclaims are not for me regardless of how much time I give for acceptance. I will stick with FBDs.
@AdamMancini4 I was hoping to get FBD of ONL of 5905.25. It came so close that taking the bounce had risk of it revisiting and taking out stops under ONL.
@AdamMancini4 I know you didn't take it but if you had taken the short setup today under the structure of 6012 at say 6010, where would your stop have been considering that after the initial drop it gave a fake reclaim of 6014 to as high as 6017?
@AdamMancini4 @daytraderdad Didn't take it as sticking to FBD setups only and just observing flush and reclaims setups. But the way you wait a little longer and enter at next level, 6007 in this case, seems like a much safer entry with higher win rate, even though it may mean bigger stop loss.
@AdamMancini4@eldnitj@ashwagamma I would also like to take these not FOMO entries but hesitate, as 22 will already be one level up from 15 for a level to level trade and it may not go to next level of 28 as majority of the moves don't.
@AdamMancini4 Reclaims are tough to judge. I didn't take it but the action from 8:30-9:00 EST yesterday night could have looked like 5751 level getting reclaimed and a long setup as per NL. It eventually worked out this morning but difficult to take fearing the same reaction.
@AdamMancini4@BrianSn55228058 i understand your failed breakdown setup. what exactly is routine support buys/sells? just bidding direct at major support/resistance levels?
@AdamMancini4 I used to take those counter trend trades but it was difficult to hold with constant fear of pullback ending anytime and trend continuing.
@AdamMancini4 Curious about one of the possible trade ideas for tomorrow - "I am not interested in bidding 5764 but if we flush it to 5758 and reclaim I would be". 5764 is not listed as a major level. Generally, you are looking for this kind of setup at a major level.
@AdamMancini4 We almost tested 5799 on globex open and reclaimed 5805. Does it look good to you to enter long if not already in runner from regular market?
@AdamMancini4 @27MillionDegree does the action right now after globex open fit the bill of "perhaps tests down to 5782 or so and recover could be actionable"?
@AdamMancini4 I understand. Its just that your levels are so precise that sometimes price comes within 1pt of your level and reverses. Just want to be prepared for that when scaling.
