We're not crying, you are.🥹
Michelle Obama stepped to that podium and gave her husband every single flower he deserved. She spoke directly to Barack and brought him to tears.
This is what love and legacy look like. 🖤
Michelle Obama: Not once did you melt from the heat. Not once did you let it harden you… the claims that a U.S. Senator and constitutional law expert wasn't qualified for the job. The lies about your birthright, your faith, your patriotism, the outrage when you stated the biological fact that if you'd had a son that he too would be black, yet you were unflappable at every turn, always focused.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the Obama Presidential Center. Tune in now to hear our remarks along with performances by artists and changemakers from around the world who will join us here on the South Side of Chicago. https://t.co/WvFn8i3IKM
I had the honor of sitting down with Opal Lee — the Texas legend who walked from Fort Worth to DC to make Juneteenth a federal holiday.
At 99 years old, she told me: "I’m gonna keep on walking to show some youngsters how it’s done.”
Thank you, Opal. We're walking with you. 💙
The President just used his power to exempt himself and his family from audits on every tax return they've ever filed.
If that is not corruption to the highest degree, then what is?
I join my colleagues in the Congressional Black Caucus and the NAACP in calling on college athletes to boycott public universities in states that are actively weakening Black political representation.
These institutions depend on Black athletes to power their athletic programs but remain silent as their states strip Black communities of their power.
I was pleased to stand with some of the student athletes who are helping lead this charge.
More than three million Virginians cast their ballots in Virginia’s redistricting referendum, and the majority of Virginia voters voted to push back against a President who said he is ‘entitled’ to more Republican seats in Congress with a temporary and responsive referendum. They made their voices heard.
I am disappointed by the Supreme Court of Virginia’s ruling, but my focus as Governor will be on ensuring that all voters have the information necessary to make their voices heard this November in the midterm elections because in those elections we — the voters — will have the final say.
This is what it looks like to stand up when democracy is on the line! Florida Rep. Angie Nixon disrupted a special session to protest gerrymandering, declaring, “This is a violation of the Constitution.” We must continue to protect the power of the people’s vote! ✊🏿

I was honored to accept the 313th Spotswood Treaty Tribute today.
The Cheroenhaka people have called this land home for thousands of years — long before any colonial charter or Governor.
We must always recognize and celebrate their story.
Paid Family and Medical Leave is a win for workers AND businesses.
This landmark law empowers small businesses to compete with larger companies by offering competitive benefits they would otherwise be unable to afford.
Together, we are building a stronger future for Virginia.
Tonight’s win for a 10-1 Democratic map in Virginia would not have happened without Virginia Senate President Louise Lucas.
RETWEET to thank @SenLouiseLucas for standing up for our democracy! 🇺🇸
Virginia voters have spoken, and tonight they pushed back against a President who claims he is ‘entitled’ to more Republican seats in Congress.
As we watched other states go along with those demands without voter input, Virginians refused to let that stand. We responded the right way: at the ballot box.
VIRGINIA: Tomorrow is Election Day!
